WHAT IS CARIBBEAN EKCO?

Caribbean EKCO is a 5-day Music festival hosted in Barbados committed to engaging, developing and promoting wholesome Caribbean artistic expressions for positive social transformation. The festival features a two-day music conference, a mega-concert, artist showcases, and more.

This year we are excited to partner with regional and international music tour operators, promoters, and industry executives to offer an excellent opportunity for local and Caribbean artists to enhance their artistry, build their brand, and plan toward financial sustainability.

We invite you to join us in this movement to “Change the Culture, Change the Future”.

WE BELIEVE…

Music & media play an influential role in shaping youth identity, mental health, culture, values, and behaviour.

Today, there is a great need to reach our youth with wholesome messaging, that is exciting, relatable, and culturally shifting.

No music that promotes violence, hatred, sexual immorality, greed, materialism, revelry, drugs, alcoholism, selfishness, idolatry, lewdness, and abusive language.

KEY OBJECTIVES

  • Creating opportunities for the promotion and distribution of Caribbean Christian Music and Artistes; regionally and in other key markets such as the US & UK.
  • Providing performance, showcase, networking, mentoring and critiquing opportunities for Artistes with Music Industry executives, tour operators, promoters and other industry stakeholders.
  • Educating Artistes on PR and Marketing campaign strategies towards creating better globally marketable portfolios.
  • Equipping Artistes with financially sustainable strategies and tools to expand their revenue net in a small market industry.
  • Empowering artistes to create music and profiles that support positive social transformation.
  • Connecting youth and communities with music and artists that promote positive messages and values in a way that is engaging and relevant and inviting them to make positive lifestyle choices.
