John Yarde was born from music. His mother, Shirley Yarde, was a former member of one of Barbados’ most established gospel groups (Nazarene SilverTones) and so he grew up with music in his life from very young. As a young boy John sang in the Sunday school choir but his true passion was drumming, and simply doing what he loved.There was never any desire to be a singer I simply wanted to play drums behind some popular artiste.

Then in 2009, after a four month stay in the United States and leading worship in a church there, he returned to Barbados with a desire to also lead worship. However John was known to many as a drummer, so very often he would hear “boy, go and play the drums” but after steadfastly asking he did get the opportunity to lead and he simply never stopped.
This young singer song writer also serves as the senior Pastor at the Jackson Church of the Nazarene where he is committed to building and equipping leaders who will positively impact their respective circles at Jackson “We go with the flow of the Holy Ghost”
